When I get
a little "bummed out" by the cares of life (i.e. bills
to pay, not enough hours in the day, etc.), I turn to something
I call "My Wonder List."
Let me try
to explain...
I began many
years ago to recount the wonder-filled moments from my life. Here's
a little sample...
As you can
see, it's not very formal. The secret is simply this...The
more you recount the wonders you have experienced, the greater
your appreciation of The Art Of Wonder. It's not enough
to simply think about them...Write them down!
As a wondermaker,
I often use my Wonder List as points of inspiration. If
something has proven to be wonder-filled for me, it isn't too
far of a stretch to think that it could be wonderful to someone
else...even an entire audience.
Try this! At
the least, you will develop a new gratefulness and appreciation
for life. Where it fits into your worldview, say a
prayer of thanksgiving to God...in my worldview, God is the first
and greatest Wondermaker!
Get
out there and really smell those roses!
