Consider this scenario!

A young lady (we'll call her "Pam") attends a birthday sleepover at a girlfriend's house. Several girls have gathered for a night of giggles, girl-talk, and, believe it or not, psychic readings. That's right -- one of the girls arranged for a "psychic" to come and do palm readings and other types of divination at the party. It was a night that "Pam" will never forget.

You might consider this scenario as a rare and remote occurrence, in some far off city, with people you don't know. Guess again -- this very situation happened in last year in our peaceful NW Arkansas community.

Although her name really isn't "Pam", her story isn't all that unique...whether it's reading a daily horoscope online, calling the Psychic Friends Hotline or having a personal reading from a "psychic," these experiences are playing a more significant role in our society. Now that's scary!

HERE'S THE REST OF THIS STORY

"Pam" wasn't quite the same after that sleep over. It became hard for her to sleep and difficult for her to tell anybody about her experience. Even her "big sister" from a local college discerned that something was wrong. "Pam" and her "big sister" attended a "Shining Light In Dark Corners" presentation just a few days after the sleepover. I didn't know how disturbed "Pam" was. I didn't notice if she squirmed when I dimmed the lights and lit a candle.

But I did see the look in her eyes when she helped me with an experiment and demonstrated ESP (Extra-Sensory Perception) right before her eyes. She was amazed. But now she wasn't scared. Why?

Because I clearly explained to that audience that everything I would demonstrate would be the result of a clever magic tricks and a deception of perception. Nothing was supernatural!

After the program, "Pam's" big sister talked with me and explained the situation. She told me how significant and timely the presentation was for "Pam".

And I saw her smile.
