How many hyper-religious
or strict atheistic people have you ever encountered that have
a balanced enough worldview to actually carry on a dignified
conversation with one another?
How many staunch
Conservatives have found themselves in constructive dialogue
with bleeding Liberals over a sensitive issue like the death
penalty? Not many!
It is simply
more healthy to seek for accurate perceptions in the pursuit
of truth AND to be willing to allow other points of view (notice
I didn't say embrace their positions) to share the bandwidth.
Strange as
it may be to some, I do believe that as we seek absolute truth,
that absolute truth can be found...and it will set us free.
There is a
place of peace that comes when one has settled this matter and
then sets about the task of enjoying all the "wonder-filled"
things life has to offer.
And "wonder-making"
is simply an attempt to reflect the miraculous, the supernatural,
the sublime, and the divine.
